4mm SCALE EXHIBITION LAYOUT - 23 Years - 1991-2014

The whole museum is set in the former docklands of the town, and is home to a number of maritime and waterway exhibits.


The canal basin is home to a number of boats, all of which take visitors for a ride through the tunnels under the railway and back again.


Festival of Model Boats

The local model boat club is having its bi-monthly open day for its members to show off their radio controlled model boats and ships of all scales.



The Scillonian now lives in the dry dock.  Built by Thorneycroft of Southampton in 1955 for the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company she was in service between Penzance and St.Mary's from 1955 to 1976. She saw further service with the P & A Campbell on the Bristol Channel and the Torbay Steamship Company.


St Olaf

St Olaf was built in 1906 for passenger service between the Scottish Isles.


The Lightship is based on the Humber Lightship once stationed off Spurn Point at the mouth of the Humber.
